Hall on September 30.

memorable events in Auckland’s entertainment calendar this year.

mixed and hosted by General
Lee, with live performances from Helen Corry, Laughton Kora and
Natalia Sheppard AKA
Tali.
Kiwi DJ legends Greg
Churchill and
Bevan Keys will take to the stage when the ASO finishes, as the
party kicks on.

in the
Synthony People’s Choice competition. Voters can choose from four iconic tracks dance tracks - Delerium’s
Silence, Laurent Garnier’s
The Man with the
Red Face, Underworld’s
Born Slippy and Tiesto’s
Adagio for Strings. The winning song will be played by the
Orchestra on the night. Voting closes at midday Friday August 18.
With lights, lasers, mapped video and state of the art sound all part of the Synthony experience,
planning for the one-night extravaganza is a big job, which will be carried out
by a skillful behind-the-scenes crew led by the show’s Orchestrator - the
highly respected Ryan
Yoens, whose credits include work on The Hobbit. The ASO’s legendary Music
Director and Conductor, Peter
Thomas, will then have the mammoth task of turning the
orchestra’s talents to dance music and working alongside some of New Zealand’s
most respected electronic artists.
