The winners of this year's World Battle Of The Bands New Zealand National Final was The Twitch.
Other honourable mentions should go to Epitome (second overall) and Agent (various awards).

Details from Intergalactic Records, the organisers of the World Battle Of The Bands:
Friday night saw ten exeptional bands from around New Zealand come together to compete for the chance to represent New Zealand in the 2005 World Battle of the Bands WORLD FINAL in Hong Kong on Saturday 26 November.
3rd Place went to Otago's hard rock act, Six Gun lover, 2nd Place to North Auckland lads Epitome and 1st place to Central Aucklands superb trio The Twitch.
In addition to being flown to Hong Kong to compete for the world title, The Twitch will also be entitled to record a single at aucklands Area 51 Recording Studio and receive vouchers from New Zealand Rock Shops and Illicit Clothing.

Best guitarist - Scott McLachlan - SIX GUN LOVER - Otago
Best drummer - Zane Read - AGENT - Taranaki
Best bassist - Matt Flower - AGENT - Taranaki
Best instrumentalist - Matt Flower AGENT - Taranaki
Best vocalist - Jennie Skulander - SLIPPING TOUNGE - Bay of Plenty
Best Songwriter - THE TWITCH - Central Auckland
Most passionate performer - Fleur Jack - THE TWITCH - Central Auckland
