Featuring their unique blend of emotionally super-charged indie-pop electronica, the track showcases the New Zealand duo’s signature ethereal sound. Building from the piano up, Amberly’s irresistible vocals and Luke’s sweeping guitar sounds build the song into a stirring soundscape.
Like many of Cavalcade’s songs, Curious Game offers a window into internal struggle and how to deal with it. On the inspiration for the song Amberly said, “This song was written whilst teaching at a high school. It came from witnessing a lot of the unfairness that kids experience.”
Cavalcade’s reputation is on the ascent thanks to a growing media profile in their home country New Zealand and multiple sync usages.
Tracks from The Vacancy EP have enjoyed placements on shows such as UK soap Hollyoaks, hit Australian show The Heights plus a live festival performance alongside Jess Glynne on the ever popular TV show Neighbours.
