Milk Milk Lemonade

Bio

A rock and rolling three-piece from Auckland. Formed halfway through 2001, Milk Milk Lemonade played their first gig in November 2002 and made it through to the finals of the York Street Studios Acid Test in 2003 where they were commended on their explosive live show.

All three members of MML went to High School in the Hawkes Bay and have played in various SmokeFree RockQuests alongside bands such as Numb, Naked and Anti Ring Finger. They are all massive fans of Jakob, Looma and State Of It.

MML have also shared the stage with Pan Am, Paselode, The Black Seeds, Goon and almost Fur Patrol (Julia Deans cancelled on the day due to laryngitis).

Milk Milk Lemonade have formed a thick blend of rock 'n roll music for good times and fine wine. With a simple, no bullshit style they are a big hit with their friends and anyone who is drunk on the street and within earshot of an MML gig.

MML are influenced by television theme songs, Led Zeppelin, Fu Manchu, New Kids On The Block, Paselode, Neil Young, Jakob, Soundgarden, Shihad, Tool and the Smashing Pumpkins.

Band Members:
Rueben Bonner (vocals, guitar)
Ben 'Pounder' Mortensen (bass)
Gavin 'Danderous' Ludlow (drums)
