Setting up a very basic PC recording situation at home, plan on writing some songs and playing everything myself for now. But I do really miss being onstage, and have entertained the thought of lending my voice out. Have had LOTS of offers from people wanting guitarists but I'm selling my amp. And it's a question of commitment and time.

Okay can we talk about me now.

I'm flying to Christchurch on sat the 19th of April with my boyfriend. His family lives down there and I'm going to meet them for the first time. I'm so nervous I'll have to take betablockers just to keep a straight face when I meet them. We're going to Orana Park (spelt right?) and the Cathedral thing and his childhood home and out to dinner and I'm so excited I'm going to explode! It's our one year anniversary when we're down there and I wanted to buy some roily gorgeous lingerie but I think I'm going to have my period when I'm down there. I hope not.

Right now I'm listening to Hotel California, and I must say, the dual-guitar harmonies towards the end is some of the bestest guitar work ever written.

Someone told me that playing that track from the "Hell Freezes Over" Live DVD is the best way to test a surround sound system. So... that was the first thing I played when I got a surround sound system. Bloody amazing - I had goosebumps the whole way through!

What up megz.

apparently the foo fighters are great live, but i'e never been a huge fan of them myself. I just can't shake the idea that Grohl is still riding on the waves Cobain mde in the 90s.

Think about it like this, would you like them as much if grohl was a nobody and they were a band playing in a crappy pub somewhere?

They are ok though. Should be a fun night. But I wouldn't waste my money.

So thats a no to the actual question i asked then! haha WOW. Im pretty sure i would still like them if they were playing in a dingy pub somewhere - im pleased to waste my money on tickets to see them. If its half as good as the Linkin Park/chris cornell show i went to last year ill be happy .

I remember the Foo's being *new*... and they weren't that big a deal. Just another alt rock group in the mid 1990's. They were playing small venues around the USA too.

I'm sure the Nirvana thing has helped but not that much.

If being related to Nirvana was a sure-fire success, then how come nobody talks about the "No WTO Combo" that featured Krist Nevosolic (spelling???), Kim Thayill from Soundgarden and Jello Biafra from Dead Kennedy's??? Hmmm?

That concert was awesome eh, I idolized Linkin Park all through my teen years and when I finally got to see them they were so good they blew the pants off me. Not literally... well nearly literally... Chris Cornell was amazing live too, I've become a huge fan of his after seeing him onstage.

Last night I played poker at my bf's house with the flatties and I totally kicked ass in the first game, I cleaned the table of poker chips and it was my first time playing texas holden poker with a group of people.
It's my new fave game, and apparantly it's what they play in casinoes now instead of traditional poker, so I might go to sky city sometime. Under the supervision of my bf ofcourse, coz money doesn't grow on trees. Hmph.
