RE: Big Day Out 2009 Posted: Wed Sep 24, 2008 1:26 pm Yeech, that lineup doesn't rock my world very much. NiN, Alice in Chains... nope, that's that grabs me. The rest of the "heavy" bands are weak sauce. In Flames would be good to see even if they haven't done anything worthwhile since the 90's. |

RE: Big Day Out 2009 Posted: Wed Sep 24, 2008 1:46 pm i would like to see nine inch nails, alice in chains (though i don't know what the 'new' chains sound like), scars on broadway, lamb of god, in flames, devil driver and lacuna coil. hell i'd even see bloodhound gang if i was there, not a fan but would be intresting (i was under the impression that they didn't exist any more lol) |

RE: Big Day Out 2009 Posted: Wed Sep 24, 2008 2:20 pm Yeah I thought Bloodhound Gang were done for. The new AiC... will wait and see what their new stuff is like. I've seen vids of the new guy singing old AiC stuff and it was really terrible. |

RE: Big Day Out 2009 Posted: Thu Sep 25, 2008 1:58 am Wow - What a line-up I reckon. I think Sound-wave are going for the kill shot againts the BDO line-up nxt year, they better pull somthing good out of the bag and get their Shut together... or they are seriously at risk of lousing 16 year lifers like me.. Lamb of God rocks... and they are bluudy nice guys too! I will be there 4 sure... |

RE: Big Day Out 2009 Posted: Thu Sep 25, 2008 10:43 am i quite like LoG, never thought they were amazing but just a good listen, i do dislike their singer tho. he's the least "metal" of them, whines like an emo and tries making everything bout himself. he aint axl ffs. |

RE: Big Day Out 2009 Posted: Fri Sep 26, 2008 11:14 pm speaking of testament... i dunno if this has already been said but... WHY OH WHY are they playing at southern amp??? i almost missed the fact that they were coming to nz at all because i was going to dismiss southern amp as rubbish with rubbish bands - seether headline case and point... then i notice testament is playing!!???? why arent they playing BDO or their own show!? i live in the north island and its not really worth going all the way south just to see them with NO other bands there i want to see. not happy testament! |

RE: Big Day Out 2009 Posted: Sat Sep 27, 2008 10:42 pm don't be beat up bout it. i quite often feel bad that bands miss the south island so im not hurting over this one. i think that if a band is coming to nz they should play 2-3 shows to cover the country, course this almost never happens. coudos to disturbed, they did 3 shows, and last time i think they did at least two. |
