im goin, waiting for cheeper tickets from my source tho. but i love the prodigy thats the only must see for the day but there are at least 5 days that id be keen to see which is in stark contrast to this year were it was sit, go somewere else sit some more then get into the d before they shut and sit even more until rage comes on. LAME. id rather have a variety of good bands as apose to one awsome band. this year there is both and its still only the first anouncment. and i know that all my raver friends are going, their amping for this lol.

Thanks for your answers!

I agree with some of you about the line-up, but I wanna go anyway. The problem is, I cant order e-tickets, they have to be sent to a home in your country.
No, No!

Any idea how we can get tickets, we will be leaving europe in november, but only arive in your county 12 januari, too late probably.

Surely you can pre-order your tickets then pick them up from a ticketek outlet when you get into the country?

Unfortunately, this doesn't appear to be the case.

The only option for tickets for the BDO ordered online is to have them couriered to a New Zealand address.

Quote:

All courier addresses must be delivered to a Business address or a street address. Courier packages will not be delivered to a Private Bag or PO Box. Courier packages require a signature; therefore please ensure that someone is able to sign for the delivery between the hours of 6:00am to 5:00pm for a Street Address or 8:30am-5:00pm for a Business address. Please allow 3 – 5 business days for delivery.

You do raise an interesting point though, so I will send an email through to the promoters to see if I can get an official answer or solution for you. I'll post the details here when I hear back from them.

BTW King, Ticketmaster are selling the tickets this year, not Ticketek.

Aye, I see.

Many years ago I purchased some tickets online, and I HAD to physically go into a ticketek to pick them up.

Here is the official reply from the NZ organisers:

Quote:

Sorry not much options there – you must have the ticket couriered to a New Zealand address until the week leading up to the event.

So sorry there’s not really a process for them at this stage. They may need to find someone in NZ they can send the tickets to or wait until closer to the time.

So sorry, No_One_Knows, they can't help either. I have sent you an email with more details.

Thank you very much for your help, I really appreciate it. Happy

Well, the organisers and ticketmaster.nz don't really make it any easier for me. I really dont understand why they can only deliver tickets by a courier in your country, anywhere else in the world you can just pay with a creditcard and print your own tickets(which is actually ticketmaster aswell).

I dont see any alternative at this moment. Maybe I have to keep an eye on your local ebay site and hope I can buy 4 tickets just two days before the event, but I'm not gonna pay more then the official price when it is sold out...

If you know someone in NZ maybe they could get the tickets for you from Real Groovy or somewhere and pass them on when you get here.

Funny they're not doing venue collection, they did when I saw U2 at Mount Smart.

Paul McCartney? That's gotta be someone having a laff.

How is it that the two lamest Beatles still breathe? Laughing

GNR??? While I'm a huge fan from way back, I can take or leave Axl & The Leftovers.

axl is sereously kicking a dead horse with GnR. he just can't capture the magic they had back in the beginning. and from what i've heard of chinese democ. its really bad. definitly won't be buying that album.
i would still go see them if they came to bdo though Wink

GnR? I highly doubt they will play BDO... especially as a second announcement band... they're more of a headliner.

liked them when i was 14 but not much anymore.

heard somewhere.. maybe have been here? ( Embarassed if it was) that the second announcement is going to be mainly hip hop acts, I'm all good with that. there is a lack of hip hop acts in the first announcement and im pretty sure they wouldn't get lame as ultra mainstream hip hop such as 50 cent, T pain, and lil wyne or what ever... so that puts a smile on my face.

Thanks for the offer camisadonz, I think this is the only way to get tickets for us. But, I checked your location on google earth(..hehe..), but since we arrive late in Auckland, I am afraid we can only pick up tickets near Auckland. And as we are poor backpackers I don't think we can offer another ticket, only a present from The Netherlands(or Thailand/Malaysia/Singapore/Australia). ;-)
